experience. Job Summary And Responsibilities Under the direction of
the Practice Manager, the Ophthalmic Photographer will be
responsible for using highly specialized imaging equipment to take
detailed pictures of the eye and its inner structures. These images
allow doctors to diagnose, monitor and treat disorders or diseases
of the eye. These tasks include, but are not limited to the
following: Perform intravenous fluorescein of dye administration,
as ordered by the provider Ability to utilize and maintain camera
related equipment and inventory of supplies Reviews patients
medical history and allergies prior to procedure Explains imaging
procedures to patient and provides instructions during imaging
Captures patient imaging by using specialized equipment. All phases
of fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, and optical
coherence tomography (OCT) as per the ordering physician Knowledge
of basic retinal disease process and understanding of how to
photograph each differently Monitors patients conditions and
reactions during the imaging process. In the event of an adverse
reaction, notifies the physician and staff and provides for patient
safety/comfort Repairs equipment within capability, or obtains
timely maintenance and repair services as required, including
issues with image import into Harmony Understanding of basic
anatomy and physiology of the eye Ensures proper cleaning and
calibration of photography Documents completely in the EHR testing
orders and performance of testing Ensure proper cleaning and
calibration of photography Review MD orders in NextGen prior to
preforming photography Willing and able to travel to other AIO
clinics All other duties assigned by management Skills and
Qualifications: Phlebotomy experience High school diploma or
equivalent is required Excellent communication skills, written and
oral Experience and familiarity with EMR Willingness to learn
Ability to maintain patient information confidentiality Must be
proficient with Windows-based applications Strong organization
skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks
