Description::To plan, coordinate, implement, direct, manage,
monitor, review and evaluate the programs, services, activities and
operations of District-wide recruitment and employment services;
coordinate assigned activities in coordination with other
departments and outside agencies as appropriate; work
collaboratively with others to accomplish District Human Resources
goals and objectives; exercise leadership in identifying and
recommending new practices and/or improvements to service area;
provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to
the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources; and perform a variety of
other related duties as needed to address business needs and
changing business practices.To foster a culture of collaboration,
mutual respect, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout
the District; lead by example; actively participate in and support
District-wide participatory governance components and activities
and other collaborative processes; encourage professional
excellence among the staff and promote an organizational culture of
customer service, innovation and quality services.SUPERVISION
RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:Receives direction from the Executive
Director of Human Resources and Employee/Employer Relations and/or
designee of the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources (Vice
Chancellor).Exercises direction and supervision to staff as
assigned.Representative Duties::Duties may include, but are not

Guidelines::Any combination of education and experience that would
likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying.Education/Training::A bachelor's degree from an
accredited college or university with major course work in human
resources, business administration, public administration or
similarly-related field.Experience::At least four years of
increasingly responsible human resource management and supervisory
experience, including or supplemented by at least two years of
recruitment experience in a public agency.License or
Certificate::Valid California driver's license.Conditions of

recruitment activities and develop a cohesive recruitment plan that
promotes and achieves District objectives of providing equal
employment opportunity and is in compliance with State of
California and federal laws and regulations.Duties and
Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate recruitment activities that
promote the District and serve to attract qualified candidates,
including District and college participation at job fairs, and
development of marketing and recruitment materials, such as
brochures, job announcements and advertisements.Duties and
Responsibilities:Coordinate on-boarding activities; ensure District
payroll department receives timely and accurate information on
salary placement; and direct preparation of Board agenda items for
personnel matters.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide research and
reports as requested by the Vice Chancellor on matters involving
classification, reclassification, organization, and compensation
analysis; manage and direct activities that evaluate internal and
external equity; and make recommendations for resolution of issues
related to these functions.Duties and Responsibilities:Direct the
development of class specifications for new positions and the
periodic review, revision and/or replacement of class
specifications and related salary range placement; and maintain and
distribute class specifications as needed.Duties and
Responsibilities:Assure the timely and accurate preparation and
maintenance of personnel records; ensure accurate and efficient
processing of employment transactions according to established
legal and policy requirements; and ensure that confidentiality of
information is maintained.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in the
development of the Office of Human Resources' budget; and
administer, monitor and control the budget for assigned area.Duties
and Responsibilities:Maintain information related to assigned area
as necessary; and prepare reports for internal and/or external
reporting, including mandated State and federal reporting.Duties
and Responsibilities:Stay current in State and national legislation
that affects personnel practices related to assigned area; and
analyze impact and provide appropriate reports and recommendations
to the Vice Chancellor.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide staff
assistance to the Vice Chancellor and conduct special studies as
assigned; serve on a variety of committees at the discretion of the
Vice Chancellor; and represent Human Resources to other departments

of new trends and developments in the field of human resources; and
