Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/09/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed ICU RN for a night shift float pool position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and specialty certifications. Responsibilities - Work in an ICU unit within an acute care hospital - Float pool position with possible floating to other like units or nearby affiliate hospitals - Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 - Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30) - Every other weekend required, with potential for more frequent weekends based on unit needs - EMR system is Epic; experience preferred - No on-call required - All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed - Royal blue scrubs required for RNs - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Must be willing to work at least every other weekend and up to 3 of the 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) - Free parking available onsite - Required to complete pre-start and annual modules, averaging 16 hours - RTO must be declared at submission; excessive RTO can impact offer consideration Requirements - Active CA RN license in hand (no temp or pending licenses accepted) - Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience required - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Must provide two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years - Must live more than 50 miles from the facility for travel consideration - Former permanent staff must have at least a 3-month separation before applying as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629571.
