Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid state license required; no temporary licenses accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Prior charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 1:2 - Charting system experience required Description: Float Pool ICU Registered Nurse position available. Nights with a 3x12-hour shift schedule. Weekends are required, with a minimum of every other weekend. The role may involve floating to other units as needed. Experience with trauma level I or II preferred but not required. The facility has a daily census of patients. Candidates must be able to manage complex patient care needs. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments. The nurse will provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs. Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team are essential. Candidates should exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. All travelers should be open to floating within the facility. Adherence to infection prevention protocols is necessary. Nurses will participate in patient education and support. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in handling specialized equipment. This role involves managing and caring for ventilated patients. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and flexible within a fast-paced environment. Traveling nurses can expect to work in various acute care settings. Floating between facilities may be required based on staffing needs. Additional responsibilities may include conducting assessments and documentation. All requirements must be met prior to the start of the assignment.
