We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in California starting Feb 17, 2026. This 60-day opportunity offers a Monday to Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm, serving a diverse pediatric population in a community-focused clinic setting. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Feb 17, 2026 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide primary care to pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting - Deliver care to a patient base that is approximately 75 percent Spanish speaking, with translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants available - Manage a patient population that is predominantly covered by Medical/Medicaid - Collaborate with allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records - Adhere to all clinic policies and professional standards Additional Information - Locum experience is required - Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings preferred - Recent experience must be in a pediatric setting - Must have an active California Nurse Practitioner license, DEA, and furnishing license - Required board certifications: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (PPCNP-BC) - Please confirm any planned time off prior to assignment submission Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
