Job Description:
Our new customer acquisition team is an experienced group of
Internet technologists. Youll work with customers who find value in
web performance or cloud security solutions for scale, reliability,
performance and security. The team focuses on maintaining highest
quality customer service and applying industry best practices to
cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will be the customers
trusted advisor and technical expert. Collaborating with sales
partners, youll facilitate product adoption and account growth for
Akamai and our customers. As a Solutions Engineer II, you will be
responsible for: • Creating sales opportunities by managing the
pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamais technology to
customers. • Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring
all technical information and recommendations addressing customer
requirements are accurate. • Tracking account activity for business
analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our
customers needs. • Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos
and Proof of Concepts (POCs). • Maximizing customer satisfaction,
retention, and growth based on the customers needs and business
requirements. Do what you love To be successful in this role you
will: • Have 5 years working in a customer-facing or consulting
role in technical pre-sales/sales engineering/post-sales and a
Bachelors degree or its equivalent. • Have a bachelors degree in
computer science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or
another related field • Demonstrate understanding of the internet,
including but not limited to technologies like TCP/IP, DNS,
HTTP(S), APIs etc. • Have experience or an interest in working with
DevOps, Media or Internet Security • Have excellent written, verbal
and presentation skills including communicating complex technical
content to a range of audiences. • Be a team player, able to
collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing
