Job Description Job Description Location: Riverside (In-office / Hybrid) About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our growing legal team in Riverside, California. This role involves representing clients in misdemeanor and felony matters from arraignment through trial, handling DMV hearings, providing strategic legal counsel, handling DMV hearings, and delivering compassionate, results-driven advocacy. The ideal candidate is courtroom-confident, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Represent clients in criminal matters including DUI, drug offenses, domestic violence, theft, assault, and other misdemeanor/felony cases Appear in court regularly for arraignments, hearings, motions, and trials Conduct client consultations and case evaluations Draft legal motions, pleadings, and discovery requests Negotiate with prosecutors for favorable resolutions Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and evidence review Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients regarding case status and strategy Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal standards Manage caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the California State Bar 1 years of criminal defense experience preferred (newly licensed attorneys with strong internships or externships encouraged to apply) Strong litigation and courtroom presence Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Highly organized with strong attention to detail Client-centered mindset with professional demeanor Preferred Skills Trial experience Bilingual (Spanish a plus) Familiarity with Riverside County courts and procedures Negotiation and case strategy development Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonuses Health benefits Paid time off CLE reimbursement Growth and advancement opportunities Company Description We do a lot of DUI cases, but we also handle some of the most serious felonies and any type of criminal case really.
