Job Description Job Description Employment Type : Full-Time – Direct Hire Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/Year Excellent Benefits, PTO & 401K Industry: Manufacturing Day Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 10-hour shifts (4/10 schedule) BBSI is partnering with a growing, well-established manufacturing company to hire a hands-on Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead and optimize warehouse and logistics operations. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who leads from the floor, understands real-world shipping challenges, and takes pride in doing the work, not just overseeing it. Duties/Responsibilities: · Personally prepare, box, package, and palletize finished goods and materials, including custom and irregular-sized shipments, to ensure safe and cost-effective transport · Negotiate and select the best shipping methods and carrier rates, balancing speed, cost, and reliability · Oversee and execute daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance · Coordinate outbound and inbound freight, including scheduling, bills of lading, and shipping documentation · Lead by example while working alongside the team on the warehouse floor · Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records and partner with production and purchasing teams · Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality; resolve shortages, damages, and carrier claims · Continuously improve packaging methods, freight strategies, and warehouse workflows to reduce costs and prevent damage · Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards Qualifications: · 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management (manufacturing environment strongly preferred) · Strong knowledge of logistics, freight coordination, and inventory control · Experience with ERP or inventory systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar) · Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in a hands-on warehouse environment · Forklift certification or ability to obtain (preferred) Compensation & Benefits · Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance · 401(k) with company match · PTO, Paid Holidays, and Sick Time · Stable, full-time role with long-term growth potential · Supportive, team-oriented culture Company Description BBSI provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
