Currently seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist for a
beautiful Continuing Care Retirement Community in Mission Viejo,
Therapy Specialists is excited to announce a wonderful
opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to work on the campus
of Reata Glen, a beautiful new Continuing Care Retirement Community
in Mission Viejo, CA. Reata Glen is a 60-acre oasis for Senior
Living in the hills of South Orange County and conveniently located
just minutes from beaches, shopping, dining, and cultural
attractions. This is a great opportunity to be part of the
development of Rehab Services on the campus and work across the
continuum of care in senior living. The Therapy Department will
first be starting up campus-based Outpatient Services to residents
in Independent Living and Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled
Nursing Services will follow in stages.
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SLP-CCC who
possesses great customer service and experience working in Senior
Living. The position will be Per Diem, as needed, during initial
program development and has the potential to grow into a Part-Time
or Full-Time Position as the caseload grows. Out of an abundance of
caution during this time, we are looking for a candidate with
flexible availability who is willing to commit to a single-site
opportunity so as to minimize the risk of exposure during this
An active Speech Language Pathologist License (SLP) in
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). SLP-CF candidates will
not be considered.
A minimum of 1 year of recent Senior Living experience is
preferred, but New Grads with applicable clinical experience are
welcome to apply.
LSVT Certification or training in Parkinson's Disease is
preferred, but not required.
Understanding and use of a wide variety of assessment tools such
as SLUMS, MASA, MOCA, and RIPA.
Casamba EMR experience is preferred.
Ability to float between various practice settings on the campus
to treat patients and residents.
Willing to commit to a single-site opportunity so as to minimize
the risk of exposure during this time.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Screening, evaluating, and providing treatment in the following
areas: expressive and receptive aphasia, cognitive-linguistic
deficits, dysphasia, and dysarthria.
Providing caregiver and family training, as needed.
Effectively communicating with other disciplines, nursing,
physicians, and families.
Completing thorough documentation and managing paperwork
efficiently with independence.
Providing excellent customer service and patient care.
Providing a hybrid of in-person and Telehealth services based on
patient and facility needs.
