Job Description:
Description Under the direction of the PAS Supervisor/manager,
the Associate Patient Access Representative is responsible for
assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival
process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as collecting
accurate demographic information, insurance information, and
collecting patient liability at the time of service. This
individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on
assigned scheduled accounts during registration. The Associate
Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a
professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive
encounters. All information is gathered while adhering to
regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines and is
documented timely and accurately. Preferred qualifications:
- 1 year Registration experience. Familiarity with basic
financial clearance functions.
- 2 years Experience with MEDITECH system.
- 1 year Knowledge of Epic Applications.
- Coursework/Training - Some college level coursework, in Medical
Terminology or Medical Assistant.
- Upon hire: Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart
Association
- Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
- Upon hire: Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) Our
