AppleOne has partnered with a company that is seeking a Staff Accountant. The qualified candidate will be responsible for recording journal entries, preparing reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure the accuracy of the financial records, and preparing various branch audits.



Duties:



--- Prepare routine journal entries and all supporting documentation. All journals and back up documentation is to be saved to the accounting folder to be reviewed by the Accounting Manager.

--- In an organized and detailed fashion, complete account reconciliations by the assigned due date each month to include but not exclusive to Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Cash, and Inventory

--- Reconcile the month-end Profit & Loss (P&L) lines to the General Ledger (GL) following each month-end close

--- Ensure accounting reports and files are maintained in an organized manner to facilitate ease of research and review.

--- Perform analysis of financial reports and accounts as requested.

--- Provide support for annual financial and other regulatory for the audits.

--- Participate in the yearly inventory counts (some travel may be required to branch locations)

--- Participate and conduct Quarterly Cash Branch Audits (travel will be required)

--- Handles special projects assigned by the Accounting Manager.

--- Maintains business confidentiality relative to business interests and strategy, personnel, pricing, promotion, customer lists, financial reports, systems, and methods of distribution.

--- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.



Requirements:

--- Must have a bachelor's in accounting or finance

--- Must have 6- 8 years' experience in accounting, this is a senior level position



Preferred qualifications:

--- Six years or more of financial accounting experience working with General Ledger and financial analysis

--- Experience with NetSuite Software, MAS 500

--- Level of skill and proficiency with Microsoft Excel commensurate with the Staff Accountant II position

--- Good working knowledge of Fixed Assets and Inventory Management

--- Strong verbal and written communication skills
