The Spray Technician is responsible for the application, record keeping and safety surrounding the various chemical, fertilizer and biological applications made at the facility. As the Assistant-in-Training, responsibilities will include scheduling staff, planning projects with the Assistant and Superintendent, document creation and crew leadership. The Spray Technician reports to the Golf Course Superintendent. Specific Requirements:
  • Responsible for the safe and accurate application of fertilizers, chemicals and biological products.
  • 1-2 years of golf course experience.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a California Pesticide Applicators License or Certificate within 3 months.
  • Keep an up-to-date and accurate inventory of control products.
  • Keep an up-to-date and accurate log of all applications.
  • Possess the capability of calculating proper application rates, quantities of products required and fertilizer analysis.
  • Be a strong member of the Golf Course Maintenance Team.
  • Work weekends as required.
  • Skilled in internet based software utilized in scheduling, planning and record keeping.
