We are Roche.The OpportunityThe goal of the Maintenance Technician I in the GenMark team is to support the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, instruments, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing, research, and development environments.This role is a night shift from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am 5 days per week.You are:

• Troubleshooting Mechanical, Electrical and Software issues on GenMark's ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment
• Making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to manufacturing equipment with close to moderate supervision
• Follow step-by-step instructions to perform assigned preventative maintenance on manufacturing and R&D equipment and instruments to the manufacturers' specification
• Document Equipment and Engineering activities in accordance with established procedures, company policies and FDA
• Assist with process improvement projects as directed to include the spare parts program, fixtures needed to support manufacturing, R&D, and other company needsWho you are
  • You hold a High School Diploma is required with 0-2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. FDA, cGMPs, ISO, or other regulated environment knowledge
  • Good facilitation, communication, self-discipline, teamwork, and task organizational skillsPreferred
    • Direct hands-on experience in maintaining electro-mechanical equipment
    • Knowledge and experience with laboratory diagnostic instrument software and systems
    • Experience with automated liquid reagent dispensing systems (Biodot, etc..)
    • Experience with surface modification (plasma, Corona, etc..) and spray coating
    • Experience with machine vision system (Cognex, Keyence, etc.)
    • Familiar with software programs such as Word, and ExcelRelocation benefits are not offered for this job posting.The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $44,800 - $83,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.Work environmentWhile performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
